Responsibilities of Code Compliance

Code Enforcement authority is pursuant to RCW (Revised Code of Washington) 19.27.050; RCW 70:05.070 (1); KCC (Klickitat County Code) 1.20.040; KCC 15.04.020; and KCC 16.16. The Code Compliance Officer investigates allegations involving Klickitat County Code violations, works with property owners to resolve violation issues, writes reports, issues citations, and testifies in court proceedings.  

To ensure your inquiry is handled efficiently, please direct all Code Complaince questions and concerns to the Code Compliance department using the contact information listed on this page. 

Other County Departments may not have access to Code Compliance Records and may be unable to assist you with case-specific questions.
