The Klickitat County Building Department conducted a fee study to present to the BOCC. Following several discussions, it has been determined that the following fee increases are proposed for adoption effective January 1st, 2026, and will be addressed under public hearings for the budget adoption process.
RESIDENTIAL/NONCOMMERCIAL: A 10% increase to the 2025 rates for single family dwellings, duplexes, and associated structures for personal use.
PLUMBING/MECHANICAL: A 10% increase to the 2025 rates.
MANUFACTURED HOMES: A $25 increase for the first section with additional sections remaining at $100 each section.
NONRESIDENTIAL/COMMERCIAL: The International Code Council’s Building Valuation Data from February 2025 will replace the existing 2025 rates. Many counties in Washington State utilize this information for nonresidential/commercial permits. The average increase is approximately 38% increase to the current 2025 rates.
Applications received by December 31st, 2025 will be under the current 2025 fee schedule.
