Help Shape Road Safety in Klickitat County: Virtual Open House Now Live
Klickitat County is ready to share recommendations on key transportation safety improvements as part of the update to their Road Safety Plan.
This plan is intended to guide the County on addressing safety issues on county-maintained roads, with the goal of reducing fatal and serious injury crashes. This phase of public engagement focuses on gathering input on safety strategies and priority locations.
A virtual open house is now live and will be available through January 21. Community members can review crash trends, explore proposed emphasis areas and strategies, and provide feedback on where safety improvements are most needed.

This planning effort is funded through the state’s Highway Safety Improvement Program. While not all improvements identified in the plan can be built right away, the Road Safety Plan will help the County apply for funding and focus limited resources where they will make the greatest impact.
Public feedback remains a critical part of this effort and will help shape final recommendations aimed at saving lives on Klickitat County roads.
